The Central Board of Secondary Education is an educational board under the Government of India, which is in charge of conducting examinations in both private and public schools. It conducts board exams such as the Secondary School Examination for standard 10 and the Higher Secondary School Examination for standard 12. These examinations are held between March and May every year in public and private schools affiliated to the CBSE board.
Sources report that in 2018, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the 10th and 12th standard board examinations from March 2018. The CBSE date sheet for the standard 10 and 12 Board Examinations 2018 has been published. The Board is trying to reduce the time span of these examinations which earlier dragged on for more than a month.
